I’m just sitting here on this first anniversary of Destiel, remembering what that night was like. All day antsy for the new episode to drop knowing that time was short and that there were only three episodes left. The buzz that this was gonna be a big episode, that something big was gonna happen. Spending al day speculating with y’all, all of us on puns and needles waiting. And then the episode dropped and watching it was like nothing I’ve ever felt before. I crept further a d further towards the edge of my seat as it progressed so by the time Dean and Cas shut that dungeon door I was practically levitating. I remember my eyes were glued to Cas, watching him realize that he could save Dean and what he had to do. And then that speech! I’m 43 years old. I was 42 at the time and not in all those years has a moment of television affected me like that scene did. I was shaking. Literally shaking. My heart was in my mouth and when he finally said it, an involuntary noise left my body that I have never made before or since. That moment meant everything to me. It meant validation. It meant acceptance. It meant a permanent connection to a character that I love so much. I will never forget how I felt that November 5th, sitting there with tears streaming down my face saying to myself, “They did it. They actually did it.” Thank you Bobo. Thank you Meredith. Thank you Dabb. Whatever else you do in your careers, and I expect it will be a lot and marvelous, you will always be heroes in my eyes because you fought for this and won. Happy Destiel day everyone! Today is our day and no one can ever take that away from us. 💙💚

logically I knew all the beats of season 12 episode 19 the future but I didn’t realize just HOW much happens in a SINGLE episode you have dean being mad at cas for not returning his calls like a frustrated jealous housewife, IMMEDIATELY followed by the mixtape, then the reveal that cas stole the colt and “he came into my room and he played me,” cas googling “how to fix a truck,” THE SHOT of dean slamming cas into the wall THANK YOU amanda tapping, dean forgetting the entire reason they’re after cas and kelly and just fixating on how mad he is that cas stole the colt, dean TOSSING CAS THE KEYS TO THE IMPALA, dean explaining cas’ mental state to sam because he understands what cas is going through even though he’s mad at him (also sam not being mad at cas but dean being FURIOUS how do we know destiel is canon it’s because sam etc etc) and then the episode ends with cas’ tender grasp on dean’s arm to heal him before cas knocks sam and dean unconscious which made me laugh like a hyena and this is ALL ONE EPISODE. god. meredith glynn and bobo berens I take back everything I said about season 12 being a bloated mess of mis-spent budget and truly abysmal plot I am BACK ON BOARD

I know we’re going through it because of that series finale, but do you understand that “the writers” worked to give us Destiel? That it’s not just Jensen and Misha in our corner, it’s most of the writing team? Do you even understand the mountain Bobo had to move in order to get Castiel’s confession to Dean greenlit, maybe newer fans won’t understand just how astounding that is, given how things started and how slow things were to change.  (And note that Bobo thanked Dabb, so at least keep that in mind). One thing is still clear to me, the body of work of S15.01-15.18 is solid and good and powerful and it’s valid and it resonated for me and the love story of Dean and Cas was something that it seemed increasingly evident most of the writers room wanted, a story they wanted to tell and give it its full due and I feel like they thought they could and something went wrong. I feel Bobo and Meredith Glynn were possibly the two strongest voices on this. Yet people are still, as they did all during S13-15 run, tearing down the very people wrote and crafted this love story, who raised it from subtext to text as far as they could. Any decision not to fulfill it completely would be way way over their heads.

ooh hello! This feels like a fun thought exercise. Thanks for asking!

I think I'm just gonna ramble about it rather than try to make lists or anything, because I personally feel like different seasons/eras of the show had writers that really stood out and gave me all the feelings :'D

Under a cut because it is long-ish, but also because these are my personal opinions delivered ramble-style and not like some sort of research paper even remotely attempting to be objective. :'D

I think I should start with Sam, since his character feels more consistently written to me across the seasons, but I have to start by pointing at Kripke himself. He wrote our intro to Sam, after all. Edlund gave us the best "soulless Sam" Episode with 6.09. And Meredith Glynn gave us some fantastic insight into Sam even in episodes that were equally about Dean-- like 12.11 and 15.17. Credit also to Yockey for 13.12 and 13.19 especially. He actually gave Sam emotional depth!

Sam as a character is kind of hard to judge according to the metric my brain set out for this. Like, I personally processed this question as "which writers revealed these characters' inner lives to us the most." And Sam as a character just... his "inner life" even from s1 was always a conflict with the Supernatural itself, you know? Far more than even the whole MoC arc for Dean was. Let me try to explain...

S1 Sam's biggest conflicts were find Dad so we can get revenge and I can go back to Normal Life and forget I was ever touched by the Supernatural at all. The demon blood/special children arcs were pretty much the same. His internal conflict was largely "am I evil, or even human?" And his personal goals were sort of the antithesis of the entire concept of the show we were all watching, you know? I didn't tune in to see Law Boy Sam and his Normal Life. I tuned in for Supernatural. lol

So from the outset, to keep Sam relevant to the narrative, the supernatural was essentially foisted upon him. Special Children. Demon Blood. "If you can't save him, you have to kill him." Sam was the object of the plot, and the vast majority of his character actions and choices and goals and desires were shaped by that.

Later seasons gave him a bit of a break from being the Plot Objective, to a certain extent, but every time he began to be even a little bit interesting in his own right (end of s12 taking charge of the hunters and then the AU hunters in s14, or his growing bond with Rowena and witchcraft in s13 and s14, for example), the plotlines never seemed to go anywhere truly deep for more than a random episode here and there. And that's just... disappointing. I mean, when the finale can only muster a blurry-wife-lonely-life montage for him, it only compounds the feeling that there just wasn't a lot to Sam as a character overall, that maybe deep down he just had no real internal hopes and dreams outside that basic generic notion of what life should be like for normal people, and that's pretty damn depressing.

Onward to Dean, because honestly he's the character we have with the biggest window into his emotional state throughout the series. Right from the start, Plot Happens To Sam, and we largely experience it through the filter of Dean's reactions to that.

In early seasons I credit John Shiban (starting with 1.06 Skin), Sera Gamble, and Raelle Tucker (starting with 1.03 Dead In The Water) with establishing the as yet untold depths of Dean Winchester. Sera obviously stuck with the show for a good long time and gave us some of my personal favorite episodes during that time, most of which I love for the Intense Dean Feelings (1.12 Faith, 3.12 Jus In Bello, 6.11 Appointment in Samarra). I'm not terribly fond of her showrunning, but heck she can write an episode.

But those folks took a character that potentially could've just been the two-dimensional dudebro monster hunter whose entire personality was classic rock and his car and made him into one of the most complex and nuanced characters in media. So credit to them for establishing Dean's hidden depths that future writers would build submarines (and one Ma'lak box that thankfully never made it to the bottom of the ocean) to explore.

In later seasons, my Dean champion was clearly Meredith Glynn. If you want to cry about Dean, just marathon her episodes. Well, her and Bobo enjoyed tag teaming on him, honestly, and that just made it so much better/worse. :'D

But I think overall Dean as a character was well established early on, and most writers over the course of the series were easily able to tap into that well without getting stuck on the surface level nonsense it was all too easy to float across when they chose to. More often than not, though, writers didn't get tripped up on the dudebro and chose to reveal the mess of Dean underneath. I mean, even Bucklemming occasionally nailed it (10.16 and 11.18 primarily for them imo)

Which brings us to Cas... the angel who fell in love with humanity, rejected Heaven and God, and chose his own family. I don't think any writer can touch Ben Edlund for ultimate Cas feelings. My biggest regret is that Edlund left the show before he could write a truly human Cas episode. If I could redo ANYTHING about the entire series (setting aside the finale, because that doesn't count), it would be to let Edlund write 9.03 and 9.09 instead of bucklemming... >.>

Why? Because yes, he showed us aspects of Cas as a phenomenal cosmic power, but he never forgot that none of it would've mattered without the crack in Cas, the little bit of him that set him apart from every other angel. And it wasn't his otherness or his power or his grace. It was his humanity. His fear of it at first (i mean his first episode with Cas in it was 4.16 ffs), and his evolution into gradual acceptance and then understanding and love. Not just curiosity of humanity as a concept, but his own desire for it in contrast to every other angel who rejected it for themselves and considered it "lesser."

Even at his most angelic, Edlund wrote Cas at his most human.

Hi Nonnie! In my understanding he’s not really involved in the script, directing, editing, etc. so even if he was kissing bibro boots, I don’t think he holds any real sway in where actual storytelling goes. @casgirlsam (Ima tag you because I’m still fandom baby and you might know more about Jim Michael’s actual role within Spn and his past). Now for your second half of the question. You are supposed to believe the cast and crew, yes are on our side. Dabb did market research for Destiel to convince the suits and network around season12. Bobo basically wrote some of the most Destiel textual episodes (especially in season 15). He said that Destiel is canon). Misha has said that Cas’ decleration was a homosexual declaration of love. Mark S, Sebastian, McNiven, Ruthie all said they knew that Destiel was a real thing (in a Misha online panel). 15x18 was written *first* in season 15 and the entire structure of the season was based on that episode, so yes, they cared so much (and the C.W betrayed them, us, and their own shown in the end). Jensen is on our side. Ofc he is. His silence is very telling. He and Misha have not said anything about the finale. Jensen did a brief thing either straight after or before 15x20 where he thanked fans, not using any official hashtags. Otherwise, he’s been dead silent (and this is a show he dedicated 15 years of his life to). Both of them were not in the official ‘Thank you’ video from C.W which is *very loud* Other writers, if you feel liking tweets is an indicator have liked posts about Dean and Cas being together in Heaven kissing, (Meredith Glynn for example).  Writers were on our side. The network wasn’t and in the end, they won.

SPN Season 15 Spoiler Sheet, update 12/9

A few updates this week, some news on the writer/director of 13. 12 is looking packed, with potentially Cas, Jody, Jack, AND Kaia appearing. Still totally up in the air about airing dates past January. Maybe there might be some press around the mid-season finale, so I’ll look out for articles.

In an interview, Kripe indicated that the series ending would have “peace” for Sam and Dean

Not much new at the TCA’s, but it was said it is “unlikely” Jeffery Dean Morgan will be back since his last appearance was such a good end note. There were some jokes about a Castiel spin off. Hell, I’d watch.

Also according to Dabb, Jack is still in the empty and “he’s not coming back in the near future”

Dabb compared Chuck and John Winchester, claiming that Dean would have to break free of “conditioning.” Also, for Jack “there have been cosmic forces fighting for his attention since he was in the womb — and that will continue. As much as this season is about Sam and Dean finding agency, it’s also about Castiel finding agency, and it’s about Jack finding agency. As always, death is never the end. It’s just part of the journey and that’s certainly true with Jack.”

In one of his cookbook interviews, Misha used the word “we” several times when talking about the final scene of Supernatural. He said that would be the last scene they shoot. It seemed to imply that he was in the scene, but that could be open to interpretation. 

The finale will air on Monday May 18th. The show will move to Mondays when it comes back on March 16th. It’s gotta come back either than that and go on a mini break or something, because that is not enough Mondays. 

Dabb mentioned that once Sam realizes what is going on with his connection to Chuck, he will reach out to people “some we expect and some not”

But Dr. Emery didn't seem annoyed by it. On the contrary, she found it amusing. "I'm afraid not, sorry to bring bad news, Valentine" giggled, before recovering her composure. "By the way, you're not bothering: we're colleagues, right? And I must admit that talking to you is way nicer" she added and a quick smile crossed her face. "I was on my way back to the surgery ward then I spotted you and decided to see how our new Diagnostics junior fellow is doing" "Oh I'm doing good, thanks!" Valentine blushed slightly. Dr. Ramsey at times remembered that I have an actual name and it's not Rookie, and the interns...well, they're challenging but I think I'm holding it together. I was just checking the test results of a patient when you arrived. I'm sure there‘s something I'm missing there..." "You'll find the answer, Valentine. You always do" Harper reassured her. "I hope so" "I know so. Naveen knows so and so does Ethan. You should know too, if you ask me" Meredith smiled shyly. Dr. Emery was surprisingly good at boosting her confidence and pacifying her when she started second-guessing herself. The neurosurgeon was one of the coolest and most imperturbable people she knew: she only saw her troubled once, at the hearing and on the rooftop afterward, but in general, she looked so calm as if hardly anything could make her lose her perfect balance. It surely came with her line of job and it was deeply reassuring and calming. "Thanks, Dr. Emery. I hope not to overstep if I ask how it feels to be back-oooof" Valentine was cut short by a child of around five who ran at full speed to wrap his tiny arms around her waist. "Heeelllloooo Dr. Valentineeeee!" Meredith recollected her balance and ruffled his hair, immediately recognizing the little guy. "Hey you! Missed me already?" "You didn't stop by this morning so I came to say hi. I saw you from my room" he explained, pointing at the room behind him on the other side of the corridor. "I also have a drawing for you!" "Aww, really?" "Yep! A panda wearing a hat just as you asked" he beamed. "It's on my nightstand, for you!" "I must give you that, Valentine: you have a special touch with patients" Harper commented. Meredith looked back at her to see the former Chief smiling at the scene. Then she addressed the little guy. "You're so sweet, Andy! I will cherish your beautiful drawing. And tell you what? I'll frame it, how does it sound, huh?" she said, making the little patient improvise a funny happy dance. She turned to give Harper a quick look and added. "Hey, look who stopped by too today" The kid immediately turned towards Harper too and asked excitedly: "A friend?" "Hm, a friendly colleague" Meredith corrected him, another quick blush spreading on her cheeks. The little guy offered Harper his hand and he greeted her with a disarming smile. "Hi! I'm Andy, and you?" Harper smiled back and lowered to shake his tiny hand. "Nice to meet you, Andy. I'm Harper, Harper Emery" The little patient took a look at her uniform and asked: "Harper, why you're not dressed like Dr. Valentine? I think doctors wear the white thing" then he leaned closer and whispered, covering his mouth so that no one else could hear "don't worry, I won't tell anyone if you forgot it at home! It happens to me too: I always forget my hat when I go out with mom and dad" Harper laughed softly. "Thank you, Andy, but some doctors don't wear the white thing. I'm a surgeon and we don't wear it all the time" Andy gaped, unaware that there were "rebel doctors" who didn't wear the white coat all day. "Oh I get it...what did you say you are?" "A surgeon" "What does it mean?" Harper took a moment to find the right words. "Let's say you have something that makes you sick or a bad wound inside you: I patch it up together while you're sleeping, and cure you so that you can be okay again when you wake up" Andy kept quiet as if pondering her words carefully. Then he added, getting suddenly shy: "Hm...then maybe you can help me" "Help you with...?" Harper inquired, giving him her most encouraging face. The little guy looked at the two ladies, shifting uncomfortably on his feet. After a moment he grabbed Harper's hand and started walking back to his room, Meredith hot on their heels. Once inside he let go of her and ran to his nightstand. The two doctors exchanged confused looks as they tentatively moved a bit closer. It didn't take long before the mystery was solved: Andy stood in front of them...showing a broken teddy bear, the grimmest look on his face. "Oh my god, it's Bobo? Your lucky boy?" Meredith exclaimed. Andy nodded. "He fell off the window last night. Daddy recovered it but Bobo is..." His little eyes welled with tears and words died in his throat: too much pain in his child's heart to continue. "Andy, can I see Bobo?" Harper asked, smiling reassuringly down at him. Andy nodded and placed it into her hands with extra care. The neurosurgeon took a seat on the bed and put on her best professional look as she examined the plushie: the poor bear was a little bit worn out and there was a huge rift in his chest and the arms threatened to fall apart too. Part of the filling was already coming out. "Stethoscope please, Dr. Valentine" Meredith handed her her own stethoscope; a bright smile formed on her lips as she realized what the former Chief had in mind. Andy jumped on the bed next to Harper, following even the slightest move with glassy eyes equally filled with grief and hope. She wore the stethoscope and placed it on the chest of the teddybear, nodding afterward. Then she carefully turned him upside down, taking in every angle before sighing and putting it down on her lap. She returned the stethoscope and turned to face Andy. "Did he fall from this floor?" The little boy nodded, concern written all over his face. "I'm not gonna lie to you, Andy. The fall hit him pretty badly..." "I knew it! Mom always told me to be careful" he added on the verge of tears, bracing himself for the worst. Meredith instinctively put an arm around his shoulders ready to comfort him but Harper spoke again. "...But I found a slight pulse" Andy gaped in surprise and the neurosurgeon couldn't suppress a tiny smile. "Your mom is right, Andy. You should always be careful with the ones you love but accidents happen at times. This one is not fatal for your friend. Wait here, I'll go get my tools and when I get back we'll fix it, okay? Will you make sure he's asleep, Andy?" As the little patient nodded enthusiastically, she winked at Meredith and walked to the nurse station. Andy placed his tiny hand over Bobo's plushie pawn and looked up to Dr. Valentine. "Your friendly colleague is a good doctor. Just like you" "She's way better than me, Andy. She's one of the best doctors here and some say even in the world" Meredith said, stroking the top of his head. "Will she save Bobo?" "I'm sure she will. I would trust her with my own life" ---------- When Harper walked back into the room, Andy was whispering a lullaby into Bobo's ear. Meredith smiled at her. "Patient Bobo asleep, Dr. Emery" "Excellent, we're ready to proceed then" Dr. Emery commented in her professional tone. She placed a sewing box beside the plushie and passed masks over to Valentine and Andy. "Please wear this, you know it's the procedure" she explained, wrapping her hair up in an elegant chignon. Meredith smiled under her mask seeing how Andy was totally enraptured by the act Harper put on for him. He took deep breaths as if he was truly about to walk in an O.R. as she helped him fixing his mask. Unfolding the needle from the box, Harper's eyes fell on the little guy again. "Okay, Andy, now I need to know: I'm perfectly aware surgery is not for everyone, so will you assist me? If you don't feel comfortable with it, I won't judge you. I've already worked with Dr. Valentine and she proved to be more than worthy. I can assure you she will do, we will do whatever it takes for Bobo" "No no, I'll do it! I'll help...I wanna help Bobo. After all it's my fault he..." Andy hung his head unable to complete the sentence but Harper gently raised his chin up with her free hand. "No sad face, Andy: we cannot control everything. You're a brave boy. Bobo will be proud of you when you tell him" Even though he was wearing a mask, it was clear by the look in his eyes that the little patient was now smiling so big. "But I don't know what to do" he added after a moment. "That's what I'm here for" Harper reassured him. "Would you please hold him still as I patch his chest injury? Yes, like this, both hands on his sides and watch out: if I accidentally sting you, tell me immediately" "Okay, surgeon" Needless to say Harper skilfully refilled and sewed together the parted chest in no time. "Woah, you're so fast!" Andy cheered as Dr. Emery secured her work. Then he turned towards Meredith and exclaimed. "Your friend is like...like...like Speedy Gonzalez but with surgery! Do you know Speedy? Nana has a DVD of his cartoons at home! I love them!" "I know Speedy, sweetheart! And didn't I tell you she's so good?" Meredith winked at him. "I watched Speedy Gonzalez cartoons too so thank you, Andy. But focus, our job is not over here: put the arm into place and host it still" "Oh sorry, surgeon!" Andy immediately returned to his chore and thanks to his focus, the operation of the poor plushie was soon concluded. Harper let him sew the final stitch before retrieving the needle from his tiny hand and put it away. Then she removed her mask and turned toward the little patient: "I would say that the operation was a success. Good job, second!" The kid gaped in awe and looked back and forth the surgeon and his beloved plushie be. As soon as Meredith removed his mask, he couldn't contain his happiness any longer. "Bobo!" Andy exclaimed holding him into his arms. Then, before the doctors could say anything, he crawled over the bed and pulled Dr. Emery in the tightest embrace, chanting thank you "thank you thank you thank you!". Harper was visibly taken off guard by the sudden display of affection, but after a moment the neurosurgeon patted the back of the little patient, blushing a little. A soft knock on the door announced that it was visit time and Andy's parents were there. The little second set Harper free and ran to them to share the good news barely containing his relief and excitement. The two doctors decided to give them some space and headed out into the adjacent hall. "You're good with kids" Meredith commented, as they watched Andy proudly showing Bobo to his mom and promising that he would be extra careful in the future "cross my heart, mommy!". "Well I was a kid once too and shockingly I babysitted Aurora a few times" Meredith gaped. "For real? I'm so gonna ask her about it!" "She was little at the time, I think she hardly remembers those days" Harper observed. "So did you gals have tea with dolls in those tiny cups?" "Tea with dolls? Just don't tell Aurora I told you that: I care for my own life" Dr. Emery laughed at the joke. "I won't, Valentine. You're safe but don't make this a habit or you'll end up owing me" As she finished the sentence, her pager started beeping. "Duty calls" she sighed, giving Meredith an apologetic look. "Thanks for stopping by, Dr. Emery. And for what you did for Andy: I've hardly seen him so happy and I'm sure you made his day" "We're not here to save bodies alone, right?" Harper noted, quoting her statement at the hearing. Then she moved to leave but stopped after a few steps as if she forgot something. She turned towards Meredith and added, a smile way gentler and softer than her usual polite ones: "Don't forget to take your drawing before you leave, Valentine. I agree, you should totally frame it" Meredith instinctively turned and hurried to Andy's nightstand. The drawing was right there just as he said. She took it in her hands: a chubby panda with a friendly face and a fancy hat on his head was carelessly playing in the jungle. On the upper side of the sheet, the little guy wrote "to doctor Valentine, the best and kindest Edenbrook doctor" probably helped by his parents. Meredith felt a lump forming in her throat and smiled: it was her first gift from a child patient. She raised her head searching for Dr. Emery but the neurosurgeon was no longer where she left her. She was now leaving the nurse station and walking towards the elevator. Momentarily unable to move, overwhelmed by feelings, Meredith stood there until she met Harper's gaze once more just before the elevator doors closed. Dr. Valentine would have sworn the smile that got her by surprise a moment ago, that very smile...was still on Dr. Emery's lips before she disappeared behind closed doors. And her heart skipped a beat.

Why destiel shippers should not speak about destiel endgame?

Thank you for the ask.  A short while back, my prim and proper side, would have responded diplomatically that its a merely ship, an artistic platform, and therefore does not warrant any hate from most level headed people.  However, I have to realize that even art activates the tolerance threshold.  I used to read destiel slash out of curiosity.  There are many more like me who dipped their toes in the destiel cesspool, only to recoil in disgust when they realized that it was probably going to give them gangrene.  Destiel was a sweet little ship, once upon a time, until things dramatically changed for the worst.  Most people who ship destiel are extreme by design because that is how the meta writers designed their thinking.  Non heller fans contradict each other.  I don't see that with hellers.  Some upper echelon hellers says something and these fans just accept it without question.  Take for example, the following post, recently penned by @anti-anti-destiel, lamenting the impending end of SPN.

The first flaw, is the OP's name.  They are glitching the tags with a name like this.  Everything and everyone has an anti tag.  What makes destiel so special that it must never have an anti tag?  That is manipulative and delusional because nothing will disappear just because you wished it away.  People that are going to despise destiel are growing, whether OP sticks her head in the stand or not.   

Anyway, here is the post, which I edited where necessary and italicized.  My responses are in bold.

There has been talk about queerbaiting in the past, and whether or not SPN will go down in history as a show with a slow-burn queer romance, or whether it will be forever known as the most queerbaiting show in existence.

This is why non-destiel fans get infuriated.  If there are any ''good'' destiel fans out there, why don't they tell this entitled princess to stop ruining the reputation of a show that has genuinely made people happy?  SPNFamily is very ironic when you want to tear apart a show that gave made you smile for 14 seasons.  This alone makes me wonder if there are any ''good'' destiel shippers out there.  The other hot topic is that of queer baiting.  Notice how queer baiting is NOT up for debate.  I have seen the master list of ''proof'' that SPN is queer baiting.  The parallels, metaphors and prop analysis are extremely insulting to adult human intellect.  Performing Dean is perhaps the most biphobic concept I have ever come across.  There is a reason these meta writers don't want their head canon's discussed because they know that people with logic with wipe the floor with them.  I can almost picture Jensen bursting into laughter if he ever read that master list.  It is that nonsensical.  The meta writers claim they are being queer baited, and everyone believes it.  Nobody questions the writers.  Why? 

All the cards will be on the table in the writers’ room.

Dabb is destiel friendly.

Bobo is destiel friendly.

Davy is destiel friendly.

Steve is destiel friendly.

Meredith is destiel friendly.

When a meta writer writes something like this, how come low level destielers don't ever question her?  Why not ask her:  if Dabb and gang are destiel friendly, then why is it that Cas didn't even get invited to 300th episode family dinner party?  They practically forgot about him.  BuckLeming are NOT destiel friendly, because Leming [along with Misha] claimed that an episode with a turning point was coming up.  Turns out there was no turning point.  Leming and Misha were just making a mockery out of the destiel fans.  Why is it that Leming was called out for that lie and NOT Misha? 

And why is it that the most important people in this equation are always left out?  Both Jensen and Jared have said time and again, that destiel is not part of SPN canon.  How come they get left out?  Do you think their opinion doesn't matter?  And if it doesn't, then why is that?  I would really like to know. 

Other numerous cast and crew are destiel friendly. And before someone starts, regardless of previous statements, Jensen is more friendly to the idea than you may think.

Why don't any of the destielers ask this meta writer HOW she knows that Jensen is friendly to destiel?  One fool told me that Jensen told her during a photo op that he was OK with destiel.  But yet he says on stage that destiel doesn't exist.  Now, why would he do that?  What makes these idiots think that Jensen is two-faced or spineless.  This meta writer said it, and everyone believed it.  Not a single person decided to cross-examine her regarding her claims.  Jensen doesn't like destiel.  He destroyed the only panel he shares with Misha.  I think getting death threats from hellers did it.  I don't blame him. 

Our main barrier is convincing Pedowitz and the Network Powers that be that it should happen.  Fandom has campaigned, tulpa’d, prayed, begged, etc. We will know by May, 2020, what the decision will be.

So she wants to rally a bunch of delinquents to annoy and aggravate TPTB.  And what fandom is she talking about.  There are many fans who HATE destiel, because of Jensen's death threats, as well as arson, kidnapping and vandalism threats.  Ordinary fans of SPN are fed up of destiel meta writers speaking up for every one of us.  The destiel fans are only a subsection of the overall fan base.  We would prefer if they didn't speak for us all.  Pedowitz has already acknowledged only J2 as the leads and TPTB has told them that the show will go for as long as they want.  So TPTB are acknowledging the leads opinions.  Neither of the actors are going to say yes to destiel. 

We have seen the hints in Dabb’s era, where it could go. He is ON BOARD, people. Whether you want to believe it or not. It’s so close to being fully textual canon. 

What did she see in the Dabb era?  Cas admiring Dean's looks?  No, he admired Sam's looks.  Dean telling Cas he loved him?  No, he said that to Sam.  Dabb is giving every other pairing its day in the sun, but not destiel.  Why is that?  I think it has something to do with the reputation destroying queer baiting accusation.  This person is fooling you in order to stay relevant.  I can tell you now, there are personal stakes involved in shipping.  In order to stay popular and relevant, meta writers will spin mile long yarns.  Meta writers are like a step up from a slash fic writer.  In a weird way, they are revered without any merit or qualification.  That is how gullible the destiel fan base is.  They never probe a claim.  And they never just enjoy their ship.  Everything has to be about canon destiel, ship wars [their latest victim is sastiel] and they never acknowledge criminal threats.  Being loyal to them means that you are popular with the bad crowd.  Let that sink in. 

So while some may be preparing for the eventual let-down, it is completely acceptable to keep the faith. If it doesn’t happen, it won’t be the fault of writers, cast, or crew.

Oh, no it will be the fault of the meta writers, like this joker, and Misha Collins.  Misha has actively queer baited his fans for ten years.  Its funny how Jensen is the bad guy for saying that destiel doesn't exist, but Misha is such a kidder if he says anything destiel and even cockles friendly.  Misha Collins is the only person on the cast, crew and writers who actively and vocally pushed destiel consistently for ten years.  So much so that he ignored sastiel.  He changed that at Nashcon for reasons unknown.  If you want to lash out at anyone for destiel not being canon, please go ahead and lash out at Misha.  The only one who gave you any hope was Misha. 

In conclusion:  I have only met one destiel shipper [receipt on my blog], who acknowledged that destiel shippers were becoming ghastly and that Misha was egging on the troublemakers.  She admitted that she didn't approve of his behavior.  Other than her, I have not come across another.  Other than this one person, nobody else deserves my empathy.  When SPN ends without destiel being canon, prepare for the hellers being mocked by all and sundry, due to all the many enemies they earned for the threats, attacks on J2 and the vandalism.  No one will feel sorry for them, because they ruined this fandom.  Remember, Destiel is not a religion.  Loving and believing it is not a prerequisite for being an SPN fan.
